SMART PHONE SOFTWARE ENGINEER
The Intellisis Corporation is immediately seeking a highly motivated and independent problem solver to join the company as a full time Software Engineer working on smart phone and embedded device applications. This individual will work on the development of neurobiologically-inspired applications for autonomous perception and behavior.
Applicants should have the following skills or attributes:
- Bachelor or Master of Science degree in computer science or a related field.
- Comfortable in Linux environment.
- Fluent in at least three of these languages: C/C++, Java, Objective-C, MATLAB, Python
- Familiar with the basic ideas in parallel computation; experience with multithreaded and/or GPGPU programming (such as CUDA) preferred.
- Comfortable in a rapid-prototyping, software engineering environment.
- Neuroscience background a plus with experience in acoustic and visual networks
- iPhone development experience a plus
- Android development experience a big plus
- Ability to obtain high level security clearances which require U.S. Citizenship.
The ideal candidate would be a creative thinker that enjoys tackling complex technical problems. Engineers without previous knowledge of neuroscience will be provided with adequate training to participate in technology development efforts. Strong preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated intellectual curiosity and the ability to independently solve problems. Individuals seeking a hierarchical company that is working on standard AI applications or similar routine commercial solutions should not apply!
This position is located in the La Jolla/Torrey Pines Mesa area in San Diego. Relocation costs are not covered. ENGINEERING SCIENTIST WITH EXPERTISE IN SPEECH PROCESSING APPLICATIONS
The Intellisis Corporation is seeking an exceptional individual to join our dynamic team which is developing new neurobiologically inspired applications for autonomous perception that incorporates speech. We seek a pathfinder in this field with the insight and intellect to be a key contributor to our product development team. While understanding state of the art is critical, we seek an individual that will join us in pursuing new approaches to speech recognition and speaker identification. Intellisis’ goal is to change the way people interact with machines and we are looking for individuals who share our vision and drive to get our groundbreaking products to market.
Successful applicants will have the following skills or attributes:
- MS or PhD in engineering or neuroscience.
- Research experience with speech recognition or speaker identification.
- An understanding of relevant machine learning and statistics.

NEUROSCIENTIST AND SENIOR NEUROSCIENTIST
The Intellisis Corporation is immediately seeking highly motivated and independent problem solvers to join the company as full time Neuroscientists or Senior Neuroscientists. These individuals will work on the development of neurobiologically-inspired algorithms for autonomous perception and behavior applications. This is not solely a research position. We are seeking individuals to apply their neuroscience knowledge to real world problem solving on programs for both defense and commercial customers. Applicants should have the following skills or attributes:
- M.D. or Ph.D. in a physical, biological or engineering field with demonstrated research level experience
- Solid understanding of computational neuroscience
- Experience with high-level programming languages
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Capacity to work in a team on programs with defined deliverables
- Ability to obtain security clearance which requires US Citizenship
The ideal candidates should be creative thinkers that enjoy tackling complex technical problems. The designation of Neuroscientist or Senior Neuroscientist will depend on work experience and relevant research. A candidate applying to be a Senior Neuroscientist should have been the principal of a lab supervising post docs and graduate students or the PI on significant programs leading others. Strong preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated intellectual curiosity and the ability to independently solve problems.
